For years, Okta has defined itself by the people it protects—millions of identities across every technology. But behind every verified login and secure connection is a team with a story of its own.
Okta’s Employee Experiences team and The Studio, its in-house creative group, recently partnered with IDW to shift the lens inward: toward the people, places, and principles that make Okta, Okta. Shot across three continents and captured by local embedded artists, this project represents the culture of a company built not just on innovation, but on identity.

Telling the Story
of Okta
With global teams including San Francisco, Bengaluru, and Dublin, Okta knew the story of its culture couldn’t be told from a single desk or point of view. Together, we developed a creative strategy to document the daily rhythm of each office—embedding DPs and photographers within teams to capture the unique texture of work, connection, and community in every region.
These weren’t scripted moments. They were lived ones—offering a human portrait of what it means to be part of Okta. The result is a body of work that will be used across internal culture initiatives that feels honest and globally connected.
We began at Okta’s global headquarters during a packed week of activations, educational sessions, and team gatherings. From early-morning huddles to rooftop reflections, we captured the heartbeat of a company in motion.
San Francisco:
Where the story begins
The footage and stills from San Francisco served as the foundation—a creative and strategic blueprint for every city to follow.
From product managers to culture leaders, we met Okta’s Bengaluru team in their element: focused, fast, and deeply connected.
Bengaluru:
A growing team, rooted in purpose
Our regional DP and photographer team captured everything from impromptu whiteboard sessions to communal lunches, revealing how culture travels—and transforms—across borders.
In Dublin, the warmth of the Okta team was unmistakable. We captured a distinct sense of inclusion, where new ideas meet old-world hospitality.
Dublin:
A spirit of charm and innovation.
Interviews and moments of daily life reflected a team grounded in both purpose and play—a thread woven through the company’s global identity.
